On April 2, 2025, the Flight Safety Foundation hosted a pivotal webinar addressing the role of artificial intelligence and data-driven tools in advancing aviation safety. Titled “Preventing the Next Accident: How AI and Data-Driven Safety Can Change Aviation Safety”, the event brought together leading voices from across the industry.
Speakers included our CEO, Alan Sternberg, alongside Chris Collins, Director of Flight Safety at Delta Air Lines; Steve Jangelis, Aviation Safety Chair for the Air Line Pilots Association International; and Renato Achoa, Director of Quality, Safety and Security at Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras. The session was expertly moderated by Dr. Hassan Shahidi, President and CEO of the Flight Safety Foundation.
The discussion highlighted real-world applications of AI in predicting and preventing accidents, strategies for safeguarding sensitive data, and the current capabilities of AI in operational safety.
